Kim went out of her way to put in time for one of her patients who had a traumatic delivery experience. By the time this patient got to her, she was mentally distraught. Kim took her time to clean up the patient, combed out her hair, bed-bathed the patient, and took her to see her baby in NICU, doing this same routine for several days. She took her time putting in the work for this patient so that the patient could relax a bit. The attentiveness, dedication, and willingness to take a moment to give this patient some control of her everyday purpose were truly inspirational.

What Kim portrayed and what she did for this patient is something we constantly get told to do. She really went out of her way to show the mom she was important and also to make this patient feel like a human being. Kim is no ordinary RN. She is soulful. She is outgoing. She really gets to know her patients wholeheartedly. I work a lot of units and have yet to see anyone go above and beyond what Kim has done!
