I want to share with you what a wonderful experience I had with my night nurse, who probably doesn't get recognized as much as day nurses and should. Lorna's caring and compassion were appreciated in every way. She is very professional in her work but, most of all, caring. Coming into the hospital scared of what's next with double vision and having had a stroke 2 years prior, in my eyes, you wonder what's next. Lorna told me all that was happening with new medicines and the change going on with my eyes with total compassion. Calling during the night for bathroom routines and constantly working at the computer in the room so as not to disturb my sleeping. She showed such compassion and always a smile whenever she entered the room, which was greatly appreciated. I'm 86 years old, and to have care from someone who cares is so appreciated. Lorna is an asset to NCH, and I will miss her and all her staff when I am discharged to go home. Wish I could take them home with me. Thank you for bringing wonderful people who really care and are so thoughtful!
