John showed the most experience, knowledge, compassion, and empathy and was very observant of my needs.
I was having difficulty with my NG tube. It was causing me more stress, discomfort, and agitation. I could not speak and only communicated by texting on my phone. Each time I swallowed, my throat would hurt as if a marble had been stuck. I was at a point where I wanted to rip it out.

John could see my discomfort and empathized with me. Because it was so difficult for me to communicate verbally, all I could do was cry, he tried to reassure me that he would reach out to the doctor to see what they could do. After a few hours, it was approved, and he helped me remove the NG tube. During this time, he also noticed that I was using a warm heating pad I brought from home. He immediately took it upon himself to put in an order for one that would comply with the hospital safety code and told me why it was safer than what I was using. Within no time, it was approved, and he hooked it up for me so I could get some abdominal relief.

During my 5 days stay at the hospital, John showed the most experience, knowledge, compassion, and empathy and was very observant of my needs. He would check on me as quietly as possible. He was always upbeat, cheerful, and always positive. You could see he loved helping others! If I could, I would have loved to take him home with me as a private nurse!! He truly excels in what he does, and he is easy to communicate with, as my husband mentioned as well. John is an excellent example of how a nurse should be as well as a human person. He is not bias and always has a smile on his face. It surely helps a patient like me want to wake up and say hello to the world. Thank you, John, for all you did during my stay! You are remarkable!
