If there is anything more important to a patient, it is to feel like you matter, and every hour, every day, she made that statement! I felt my worst and looked my worst, and for a nurse to make you feel like a million bucks.
I was a patient at your hospital after I had a cardiac event. My main nurse was Gabriela. I want to praise your staff on that floor, but most importantly, Gabriela! In my entire life I’ve never had the experience of a nurse who went above and beyond with my health care and needs, it was simple as in ice chips and water every hour! She took time to listen to my needs and how scared I was. She was emotionally comforting, and that’s huge in a hospital setting! Gabriela was kind, considerate, and a very compassionate person. She held my hand when I was scared, she assured me I was safe, and my health was a priority to her and her colleagues. She helped brush my hair, and I cry as I say this because she didn’t have to, but she did! My skin was irritated, and she put lotion on my back! I never wanted her to take from her other patients, but in a spare moment she always popped in to see if i was ok or needed anything. I've had many hospital stays in my 48 years of life, but I’ve never ever experienced care by a nurse and staff as I did with Gabriela! Gabriela deserves an award, Gabriela requires recognition! Gabriela, in my opinion and my family’s, deserves the pedestal at your hospital, and her colleagues should be proud of her! Exceptional, gentle, kind, and caring, I felt so important as a person and patient! She made me feel comfortable as a human being and a woman during my treatment! If there is anything more important to a patient, it is to feel like you matter, and every hour, every day, she made that statement! I felt my worst and looked my worst, and for a nurse to make you feel like a million bucks, I don’t know how else to tell you and your staff that Gabriela, the nurse who took care of me on night shift, was and is perhaps the best nurse your staff has! She deserves recognition! Our last words before my transfer was I never want to see you here again, lol, and she is right! I can only hope her career brings her to the highest level of success! Thank you, from my mended heart to all of your staff, from ER to cardiac technicians to your fabulous CNAS! The lady who did my echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) tell her thank you for me! The lady who did my nuclear stress test, I wish I could hug her! That lady, WOW! She deserves the next pedestal to Gabriela!
