Back in 2014, he played a vital role in the establishment of our critical air transport program, utilizing his expertise to train and guide our team. Since then, he has continued to be an invaluable asset to our organization, especially in the realm of education and mentorship. As a member of UCSF, Jeromie has dedicated himself to training and mentoring every new transport nurse who has joined our team. His commitment to our professional growth is evident in the countless hours he has spent sharing his wealth of knowledge and experiences with us. I have had the privilege of benefiting from his guidance, and I am immensely grateful for his dedication to my development. Notably, Jeromie took on the responsibility of training and mentoring five of our recent hires, who transitioned directly from orientation to night shift. The impact of his mentorship is evident as these individuals grow and progress under his tutelage. His expertise in critical care and emergency transport medicine has proven instrumental in keeping our patients, their families, and our crew members safe. Jeromie's clinical excellence and advocacy are exemplified in numerous stories that come to mind. He identified multiple areas for safety improvement across all modes of transport, and collaborating with our staff, partner vendors, and leadership team, he successfully implemented safety enhancements that have had a significant impact. Jeromie's commitment to improving safety conditions is unwavering. Our patients, their families, and our entire staff now enjoy a safer environment thanks to his tireless advocacy. Jeromie is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to setting and achieving the highest standards. He's always willing to go the extra mile to push our team members to reach their full potential. He created a simulation for a new hire, designed to help them grow and develop. A few shifts later, Jeromie and that same nurse found themselves in a real-life scenario that mirrored the simulation. This time, the patient required an advanced airway in the ambulance, but thanks to the previous simulation, the nurse knew exactly what steps to take.  With his commitment to the growth of others, Jeromie is our very own champion of excellence, always on FULL POWER. Jeromie is a constant source of inspiration. We're lucky to have him on our team, motivating us to aim higher, tackle challenges head-on, and deliver top-notch care to our patients.
