I was awestruck by his abilities and kindness. He has a special kind of way about him. He was fully committed to making me feel comfortable.
I came to El Camino, Mountain View by ambulance. I had had long tremors and pressure on my chest. In the ER, I was treated by professional nurses and doctors who said I might have had a heart attack, and they needed to admit me. I am 70, I was scared.
The first nurse I met was Zay Lin after I had had a “cardiac catheterization.” He is the most kind, welcoming nurse I have ever met. He knew I was scared and he had a positive attitude – he explained everything.
I was awestruck by his abilities and kindness. He has a special kind of way about him. He was fully committed to making me feel comfortable. He is compassionate; he listened to me with the greatest respect. He met my needs, plus he responded promptly and encouraged me to call whenever I needed to.
I was very happy when I saw he was my nurse again on the late shift after I had prepared for a colonoscopy. It was so embarrassing. I was in the bathroom all night – he made me feel at ease. I called him at least 6 timess. He helped change me and is a gentle and kind person beyond, being an excellent nurse. I have the greatest respect for him.
El Camino should commend him for his excellent nursing skills plus the kindness that reassures the patient he is so knowledgeable and has empathy to make the patient have a good experience at a very difficult time.
