I want to say how much I appreciate Trina. I have cardiac disease. Several years ago, when it was obvious I could not tolerate taking statins to control my cholesterol, I was placed on Repatha. My insurance was not going to pay for it. It was going to cost me approximately $1200 monthly. Trina worked diligently to get me approved with a program that took me on for that year, paying totally for my Repatha. It's not an easy thing to get done with all the paperwork to get approved. Since that year (2016), she has continued to work to get me approved where my co-pays were affordable. 2023, I have another new insurance that did not want to pay for my Repatha. Although my cholesterol has been controlled, running 135-165, I have inherited my parent’s heart disease and had my second stent for a blockage of 95% in my heart in December of 2022. Truly without the Repatha I would not be writing this today. For my blockage was not from cholesterol this time but had my cholesterol not been controlled I would be dead. Trina worked very hard to get my Repatha covered by insurance, but during this time, I had to pay for January’s doses - $632 for one month.

After four rejections, Trina finally AGAIN got me covered by my insurance. Sometimes, we don’t realize all the work that goes on behind the time we leave the doctor’s office. Trina has always been a patient advocate and never gives up when rejection comes over and over again. Had she not gone the extra mile, I wouldn’t be here today writing this.
