She believes that working as a team and a family makes us give our best to our patients. She inspires and empowers us to have our own code of ethics and make decisions within our scope of practice. She believes in our abilities and that we have the potential to learn and excel.
Ms. Hessah AlTuraikhem's dedication, energy, and familial spirit make our departments not just a workplace but a home for many of us who work with her. What makes her stand out to us is her humility and love for her departments and her staff. She has earned the respect of her staff, physicians, and patients due to her enthusiasm for nursing excellence and consideration toward everyone she encounters. Ms.Hessah made it a priority that we feel adequately supported and respected and to work with all of us as a family and as a team.
She is the fairest and most compassionate nurse leader I have ever known, she cares a lot not only to our patients but also to us as her team. She’s the most caring and thoughtful nurse manager, and she is the reason why we still work in the labor and delivery department.
She is my role model for her hard work and dedication to her team. She’s always trying to do her best for her staff, and she always trying to take care of us so we can take care of our patients.
What’s so unique about her and what we love the most is that she’s always trying to make us feel like a family, and that was clear from the first moment I came to this hospital. She believes that working as a team and a family makes us give our best to our patients. She inspires and empowers us to have our code of ethics and make decisions within our scope of practice. She believes in our abilities and that we have the potential to learn and excel. She gives us the freedom to make our own choices and decisions for us to grow both personally and professionally, and she’s always trying to make herself available to us no matter how busy she is even at home or outside working hours.
She is truly a role model for hard work and dedication to her team by handling three different departments, three different schedules, and a different multicultural staff, and she succeeds in reaching a point where all of us working together as a team or a family, and I believe this is one of the hardest things to create and to accomplish.
She connects with all of us, and this will lead to a positive work environment, which I have never seen in other areas or departments, and it's because of the family atmosphere she has built with all of us.
In our eyes, she is the heart of our hospital.
She always reminds us in our meetings that :
“Teamwork, collaboration, respect, and caring for one another is always there and important and has been reflected in our Nursing Excellence."
She says: My goal has always been to create a positive work environment where the team is happy and feels supported.
I hope that we all have a heart like her warm heart, what is unique about her is that she brought together her staff from different nationalities, cultures, and ages and made them a strong family, supportive of each other, the L&D family.
When I think of a leader, I think of Ms.Hessah. She leads with compassion and, most importantly to us, leads by example. She created an environment full of trust, compassion, and respect.
As a staff member of three departments that Ms. Hessah manages, I can honestly say that I couldn't be happier coming to work every day. It was a very rewarding experience to be a part of her team, which feels more like a family.
Coming to work has never felt like an obligation but rather something we look forward to every single day. If anyone deserves recognition for outstanding leadership, she is the one who has made a positive impact on all our lives.
