Yolanda is an amazing preceptor who has helped me during orientation. She takes the time to teach me the art of caring for the patient compassionately while following the policies that are in place. She is strong and compassionate at the same time and has helped build my confidence. She stands out with her skills and experience. I want to recognize her for her compassion with a noncompliant homeless cardiac patient. She took the time to explain the situation to the homeless patient and inspired the patient. The patient understood why compliance was so important and Yolanda inspired them to make important life changes to help her live a healthier life. I admire the care that she gives a patient no matter what walk of life they are from. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to witness her leadership and teaching during my orientation.
