Julia was the Rounding RN and checked in on the patient and spoke with the family to make sure they had the proper updates when the patient was on the floor. When the patient had a hypotensive emergency, Julia was at his bedside numerous times. Julia helped administer fluids and emergent medications to normalize the patient’s BP. Julia brought the patient to the ICU for further care. In addition to taking care of the patient, Julia comforted the family throughout the ordeal. She gave them all the information they needed and covered all of their concerns. The patient’s daughters were so relieved that they gave her hugs on multiple occasions. Throughout the situation, Julia showed so much care and compassion. The next morning Julia went back to check on the patient and family. The daughters were comforted by her once again and extremely grateful for her. Julia helped the primary RN transport the patient to radiology for a necessary, urgent procedure. The family felt comfortable about the procedure because Julia was at the patient’s side. The daughters had nothing but the best words for Julia. Julia left an everlasting impression on the patient and family during the entire hospitalization.
