Candace provided extraordinary care for all her patients with compassion and excellence. During the pandemic, she quarantined herself off from her family to keep them safe and so that she could continue providing first-rate medical care for those in life-and-death circumstances. No matter the patient's background, race, gender, religion, or socioeconomic status, Candace always provided superior care with a compassionate heart. With patients isolated from their loved ones, Candace didn't believe in letting someone die alone and often could be seen besides, holding the patient's hand as they passed. Constantly grabbing and donning PPE when going between patient's rooms, Candace often cared for 2 and 3 patients each 12-hour shift; and she picked up many extra shifts due to shortage of nurses. When many nurses were leaving due to stress or higher pay, Candace demonstrated loyalty, kindness, and dedication as she lived the Mount Carmel mission and upheld our values.
