I am so grateful for the holistic care I received from my Nurse Jennifer. When it was time for me to be discharged, Jennifer thoroughly went over my discharge documents one page at a time, which included my long list of medications, plus went over precautions, and everything else I needed to be aware of before discharging. She took the time and full effort to explain everything, and I truly felt like she did her full duty with professionalism and performed high-quality care. Jennifer was considerate enough to print my whole discharge paper with big font writing so I could read it easier, and she also took the time to highlight all the important necessary information. Also, I felt like she was caring and compassionate toward me and my family/3 children. I also thought that Jennifer was a nurse who focused on full holistic patient care, which supported me mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. She put in lots of effort and was very proactive in my care. She also reminded me to practice a balanced lifestyle, such as my food/diet, exercise, sleep, and how to care for myself with safety and love. She helped me to increase and take care of my immune system especially because I am a chemotherapy patient. She reminded me to continue to wear my binder for my spine support, along with exercise and precautions. I am so fortunate to have Jennifer as my nurse because I was able to build a trusting relationship with healthy boundaries between the nurse and the patient. I felt grateful because she fully advocated for the patient. As a patient, I am aware sometimes we are short-staffed. I do want to highlight that having enough Staff on the floor for the patients will maintain high-quality patient care between patients and Staff in our society.

Lastly, my entire family, my husband, 2 daughters, my son, and I, are so grateful with all our hearts and souls for Jennifer's heart, support, time, and holistic, loving care for me and my whole family. Jennifer truly made a difference in my hospital care. Downey Kaiser (Main Building) and all the patients are so fortunate to have Jennifer and her team (6 East, 6th Floor) crew. Her Team is the best. I am so grateful for my whole medical team (including the Radiology Staff as well) and will continue to pray for them. I hope my whole medical team practices self-care as well.
