From the moment Catie came in to introduce herself to me in pre-op before my scheduled C-Section to when she brought me over to postpartum almost 12 hours later, she made me feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I was a high risk delivery at age 44 having my second set of twins. I had hemorrhaged badly during the first delivery, so they needed to watch me very carefully this time and kept me longer in recovery. I also had much anxiety about this c-section after my last delivery, but Catie helped to keep me calm and let me know everything that was happening. In recovery she and the doctor did everything to avoid hemorrhage/blood loss and she kept me comfortable and informed the whole time.

She basically never left the recovery room all day, which I truly appreciated. When she knew my visitors were coming and I was safe to go, she got me right over to Postpartum (and she visited me two days later). Catie truly made this very special but stressful day so much easier. I work as a secretary here at Riverview, and I know what a great nurse is. Catie is a great nurse!
