Amber was extremely considerate, listening to me & the struggles I was having. She was very attentive & caring of my son; he was always content when I entered the nursery. He was always calm and relaxed and had a clean diaper and clothes. His bed and blankets were always dry and clean despite the fact he was constantly spitting up. She was very attentive to this issue & was quick to catch him so he wasn't choking. She listened to me when she didn't have to. She allowed me to vent and feel comfortable without judgment of my situation. She was understanding and sympathetic, also sharing things with me that must have been difficult. She made me feel like a person and never treated me any differently. She gave my son the best of her, always smiling. She came in early on her shift, & left late, with the same bubbly personality she had shown up with that early morning. Always keeping me updated. Communicating every detail with me truly showed she cared. Even despite the feelings of hopelessness I was having, she made me feel good. I felt comfortable in the NICU with her, never like I was in the way or bothering her. The compassion she showed for not just me & my son but every infant & person who came into the nursery that day was above & beyond. She truly cares about children & their families no matter the background or situation. She is very professional and a true DAISY Nurse. I have had a total of 5 children & this experience has been the best of them all! I usually am ready to leave the hospital within 24 hours after delivery, but her warm & comforting personality drew me to feel welcome to stay longer & just her overall love of her job was inspiring.
