I have known Christina for about 6 years. She was instrumental in the transition of the education department at Hughes while I was a new grad. She provided support and advocated for the continued development of the ED bootcamp program. After orientation, Christina continued to provide genuine support and mentorship to me as well as the other new grads. Even after moving to Egleston, Christina made it a priority to not forget about the staff at Hughes and would always make every effort to remain accessible. No matter the request, Christina is dedicated to going above and beyond for patients and families. She never hesitates to jump in and lend a hand when the unit is busy. You can count on seeing her smiling face while helping to serve lunch when provided by leadership. Once a problem is presented to her, she will work tirelessly to find a solution that will make a lasting change for both patients and families. She is always serving in the community with various Children's service projects and is the true embodiment of a Children's Nurse. Her unwavering commitment to advocacy, mentorship, and proactive involvement within the system and community are a few of the shining qualities that make Christina a role model to many.
