Maureen is much more than a nurse. She is one of our nurse leaders by title, but acts as our nursing assistant, mentor, and helper, and is always there for guidance. She goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for any patient. She has a heart of gold and is loved by every person she meets. If anyone ever has a question for her or needs help, she will find out the answer if she doesn't know it. She loves what she does, and it truly shows. She has so much compassion and love for everyone she encounters. She makes patients feel safe. She also always checks in on the nurses she is working with to make sure they are okay and always offers her assistance when she can. ​

She is one of a kind, and any patient that encounters her is lucky to have her around. She is a true asset to any unit she works with. She always goes above and beyond for each one of her patients and staff members. Our unit would not be able to function without her. She exemplifies the qualities and morals of what the nursing profession strives for. She advocates not only for our patients but for staff as well. She is a mentor and a leader not only on the floor but for the entire hospital. Everyone knows who she is and looks up to her for guidance and support, including other managers. She is exactly the type of nurse, manager, and person I hope to grow into one day. Myself and the rest of the hospital are extremely lucky to have her, learn from her, and grow alongside her.​
