I went to the ER with a stone in my salivary gland. After a 4-hour wait, I was finally brought back to a room. For the next 7 hrs, I had constant contact with Kim. She was very professional, knew her job, and really cared about how I was doing. I had many blood and other tests done during my time there. Kim always explained what everything was for and what she was doing. Her main concern was that I was comfortable with all that was going on. Her level of care and concern made me feel like I was part of the family. Kim's care made an unpleasant event so much more pleasant. I cannot thank her enough for the excellent care I received.

I became a patient in the ER department, and Kim was my shift nurse. She was pleasant, kind, attentive, and informational. She is an asset to the nursing staff in the ED. The ambulance brought me through the Fast Track holding side, and Kim was the only nurse for the night, along with an LPN. I was/am sick and in extreme pain, and Kim made sure she made me as comfortable as she could. She's a gift. I was told by her that she became a nurse just recently and SHE IS AMAZING... Even coming to the ED is stressful as it is and scary. Kim made my fears less. I do hope this nomination finds its way to her. I told her I was so appreciative of her, but I want her to know again. I'm sure she won’t remember me due to the overturn of patients. Tell her I was the popsicle lady. I hope she remembers me because I definitely won't forget her.
