There are many memorable moments, but there is one that really touches my heart. Brenda and I were leaving work one day, and she ran into a visitor that she knew but hadn't seen in a while. The older lady looked somewhat confused. She asked her if there was something that she could help her with and she indicated that she was here for a test and that her husband had gone to the parking lot to retrieve his vehicle. It had been a while and she was concerned because he had a mild case of Alzheimer's and hadn't returned after calling his cell phone several times with no answer. She and I took off to the parking lots to see if we could find him. After about 30 minutes of walking in the parking lot, we found him parked in his vehicle near the 3950 building. He indicated that "He was just trying to figure out how to get back to his wife." We offered to drive them home in their vehicle because he didn't want to leave it here in the parking lot. The older gentleman was very adamant about not leaving his vehicle. Brenda took it upon herself to follow the older gentleman and his wife all the way home to Millington and watch them exit their vehicle and go into the house before she turned to go home herself.
