I was admitted to Kaiser after spending several hours in ED. Makensie was my nurse and so very compassionate. I had bacterial pneumonia and was so very sick. She was my nurse for three days, then when I was told she would be off for 2 days, I was sad. She had taken such good care of me when I was at my worst. She was so very kind, and before she left for her days off, she said goodbye and hoped I wouldn't still be in the hospital when she returned. I was still there when she returned. I was not assigned to her as her patient, but she still came by to see me and check on me. That really meant so much. She is wise beyond her years. I can only imagine how many people she will help and deeply care for during her nursing career. I just can't say enough about Makensie, I am so very grateful for her professionalism, compassion, care, communication skills and kindness. I told all my friends and family that Makensie was my angel nurse. I shall never forget her.
