Emily went over to The Arbor House and cleaned the vacant room so that he could stay that night.
There was a patient in the ICU who was critically ill, and the patient's husband was very devoted to being with the patient as often and as long as possible. Emily Turcotte grew close to the patient and the patient's husband. Emily took the time to get to know the patient and family and learned that the patient's husband was sleeping in his truck far from the hospital. Emily called security to see if he could park his tractor-trailer in the hospital parking lot to be closer to his wife. On top of this, after realizing he was living in his truck, she called The Arbor House to see if he could stay. The Arbor House said there was an empty room but no housekeeping staff to clean it, so he would not be able to stay until the next night. Emily went over to The Arbor House and cleaned the vacant room so that he could stay that night. Emily also typed up a resume for him so that he could apply for local jobs to be near his wife. Emily truly went above and beyond for this family.

Emily reminds me of my sister, who was an RN. Emily is very kind and very attentive to my wife’s every need. It seems like she knows what my wife needs before we do. She is Johnny-on-the-spot. If a nurse takes time in her busy day to fix my wife’s hair, she is a very special person. Emily is a very caring person and a very special nurse.
