I am unsure what the outcome could have been without Ashley's persistent and caring manner.
I spent a few hours in the ER in August due to a low heart rate. I had a follow-up appointment with a doctor who suggested more testing. I thought, “I’m fine! It is just a fluke.” His nurse, Ashley Sherwood, was persistent in contacting me to set up the tests. We kept playing phone tag. Finally, she convinced me to get the tests completed. I did – 6 weeks or more later. Thank goodness – the next day, she said I needed to see my doctor the following day, which surprised me. I was wearing a heart monitor and awaiting a heart cath. One weekend, I wasn’t feeling well, and the monitor picked up that my rhythm was off by 3 – 4.2 seconds. I ended up in the ER again as Ashley was working hard to get my heart cath scheduled as soon as possible. Fortunately, as I was in the ER, they were trying to get it scheduled. I appreciate the staff. I am unsure what the outcome could have been without Ashley's persistent and caring manner. They all deserve an award. My heart catheterization was good, and now I have a pacemaker. I am thankful for this and to be here on this earth. Blessing has an amazing cardiology team.
