Nicole Boloyan had a patient who had a $4k medication she really needed. The pharmacy said insurance wouldn’t cover it. Nicole diligently investigated ICD 10 codes to find one to cover the med. She asked the pulmonologist, who gave her two codes to try. The pt also gave Nicole 8-10 codes to try. When one of the codes worked, Nicole saw it was one the pulmonologist had given her, but so had the patient. Nicole was so glad that the patient got the med covered, and she even gave her credit for finding the right code. Nicole has genuine compassion and concern for every patient and person she’s around. Excellent nurse.
