Salina did not have to offer to share her story with us and the love and support she provided that day and many days after during visits with Twin A in the NICU
One of my twins was stillborn, and my nurse approached us and said that there was a nurse here on shift who went through a similar situation. She offered her support and asked if it was okay with us. We agreed, and that day, Salina came in to talk to us. She answered questions and gave support, and additional information to help us navigate our loss. After she visited with us she returned to tell us that she is coordinating with my nurse, and NICU RNs to get a photo of us with both twins. This wasn’t an easy task as Twin A was still on breathing support. This photo means the world to us. It is the only photo we will ever have of the four of us.

Salina did not have to offer to share her story with us and the love and support she provided that day and many days after during visits with Twin A in the NICU. We are forever grateful for her suggestion and the work that she, my nurses, and the NICU nurses went through to make that picture happen. If it is far above and beyond their jobs.
