Jamie exhibits so many of the compassionate nursing attributes that our patients, families, and staff admire!

Perhaps you’ve witnessed Jamie, on more than one occasion, stop everything to rectify a patient, family, or staff problem. Not only does she go the extra mile to solve the issue - but she does it with such a joyous spirit.

What does it mean to be fair? It is being impartial and just, without favoritism or discrimination.  Jamie makes each person she encounters feel as though they are incredibly important and part of our A5 Team. She listens with an open heart and works for the betterment of all.

Jamie is an incredible motivator and her goal for A5 is to become a Unit of Distinction and to implement all policies/changes to achieve this goal for our patients and our team. Jamie did not just “fill a spot” as a new Manager.  She chose to bring her expertise to A5 and create an entirely new culture, which, in turn, creates success for our patients, staff, and leaders.

Let us not forget the fear and pain that our patients and family members may experience while in our care. Perhaps it’s hospice, a terminal diagnosis, or a tragedy. The most important thing we can do is demonstrate Jamie’s greatest attribute: compassion. Our patients and families hold onto us for dear life. THIS is the meaning of the DAISY Award.
