It is hard to put into words how much Victoria meant to our family during this time. Her care and compassion for our son were top-notch, and she went above and beyond to help support my wife and my mental health during this time. She frequently brought us coffee and gifts for him and left kind notes and words of encouragement for us at the exact right times. I think the best way to sum up our experience with Victoria is to share the note we left her as we were discharged: “Words cannot express how grateful we are for you. You have done so much for us and our son. You have gone above and beyond in every way possible during our NICU stay. You have gifted us so much extra time and attention, messages of encouragement and celebration, support during tough times, moments of laughter to brighten our days, and so much more - all while providing the best care for our baby. You know him so well (all his quirks and preferences!) and adjusted to what he needed, even if it meant you missed lunch. You have been more than a nurse to us - you have been a friend and now are part of our family. We will cherish and appreciate our time spent with you and the dedication and commitment you showed to bring our sweet boy to life. We could not have made it through this journey without you, and we cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us.  You have forever changed our lives, and we will make sure our son always knows about the incredible impact you have made on our family.  Please do stay in touch. Victoria showed extraordinary care, concern, and calm during the weeks our grandson was in the NICU 5th floor. She was always knowledgeable; she just EXUDES the care and compassion that a top-notch professional is supposed to show. From making wonderful signs and banners for my grandson and his parents, bringing in books to read to him, bringing in coffee for the parent(s), working with our daughter to make a Halloween costume on her time off, and always giving the parents and grandparents privacy and respect. She is a rare gem, and one would do well to keep “polished” in her profession!!
