I got my mom back because one nurse had the patience to listen to a panicked, heartbroken daughter.
My mother recently had a knee replacement. A day or so before surgery, she began talking incoherently and was very confused. After spending the night in the ER, she was moved to inpatient and diagnosed with post-operative delirium. We were told they were going to flush all of the anesthesia and meds out of her system. The next day, she was still incoherently talking and very agitated, hitting my dad and me. I commented to several employees that her urine output seemed to be very low. They would tell me that her kidneys were functioning at 100% and give it time. I still felt there should be more, but I let it go since I am not in the medical field. This is when Rochelle Cooley entered our lives. My mother literally went from fighting us to snoring and relaxed in 10 minutes. Rochelle told me my mother would be new woman by morning. And she was right! My brother called me the next morning to let me know my mom was awake and asked why she was in the hospital. I got my mom back because one nurse had the patience to listen to a panicked, heartbroken daughter. She went above and beyond checking everything and asking lots of questions. My mom's kidneys were functioning at 100%. Her bladder, however, was not. I prayed for God to help my family, and he sent us Rochelle. I am forever grateful!!
