The phone call from Rosa was full of so much love and care and was something I didn’t know I needed.
I don’t think words are enough to explain the appreciation I and my husband feel towards Rosa.

I was pregnant last year but miscarried at 10 weeks. I was having weekly calls with Rosa as we were still adjusting my medication regime. Anyway, after my miscarriage, I felt lost, and other than the usual hospital protocol, I didn’t expect much. However, Rosa called me the following week. The phone call was full of so much love and care and was something I didn’t know I needed. We were even discussing how to keep my body prepped with Metformin for my next pregnancy. Rosa gave me the courage to not feel scared and try again when the time is right.

Fast forward three months post miscarriage, I'm pregnant (currently very pregnant at 34 weeks), and Rosa is my Diabetes Midwife again! YAY! Did she forget me and my story? Nope! My same community midwife didn’t even recognise me, haha!

During this pregnancy, Rosa has been incredible. She has been so thorough and attentive and you just know she loves her job and genuinely cares for her patients. I always told my husband about Rosa, which I thought fell on deaf ears but when he met her for the first time during clinic, he immediately grew a fondness towards her.
Rosa and I talk every week to discuss my diabetes and insulin regime. Her voice and nursing approach bring me so much comfort.
