She has a way of dealing with my father that makes him accept her with an open heart, knowing that it is difficult for him to accept strangers.
Finally, I have found the appropriate way to express my utmost gratitude and appreciation for a person who was present at the right place and time. My 92-year-old father's health was deteriorating before our eyes after the death of our mother in 2020. We had no choice but to take him to the nearest hospital, but unfortunately, he did not receive the desired medical care. His health deteriorated to the point where he was on a ventilator, a feeding tube, and drainage tubes. We decided to transfer him to the Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital, and we were welcomed as VIPs. This made us feel that we had finally found our way. The work began with a diagnosis of my father's health condition, followed by treatment of what could be treated and working to stabilize his health condition. A medical and physiotherapy treatment plan was developed, and my father's health condition began to improve and stabilize over time. What prompted me to write this letter is the nursing staff in general and one of the nurses in particular, whom I will never be able to thank enough. Jamielyn is a nurse in LTVU on the second floor. We felt like she was one of us (the children of the patient). She did what needed to be done before it was asked of her. She is distinguished by her initiative. She never gets tired or bored. She has a way of dealing with my father that makes him accept her with an open heart, knowing that it is difficult for him to accept strangers. She would visit my father to check on his health condition even if she was not assigned to monitor him. She would explain all the medical matters and medications to us so that we would be aware of what was happening with my father. She would make suggestions for solutions to some of the problems that my father was facing. One of the suggestions was the triangular pillow that was placed behind my father, which helped him heal from the wounds on his back as a result of lying down and not moving for a long time. We have not seen a nurse as passionate as Jamielyn, who has risen to be the ideal nurse for us, who can be relied upon in all circumstances and entrusted with our father in our absence. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who work in this medical institution. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has worked to improve the nursing staff to reach this level of professionalism in dealing with the patient and their family. Thank you from the depths of my heart, Jamielyn!
