As a new Seasonal Tech, it has been hard to navigate the fast-paced environment of the emergency room. On my first day, a critical patient arrived. I didn't understand where to go or what to do. I stood outside the room, trying my best to learn what was happening. Sophia Daellenbach had me come into the room and stand next to her. She asked me if I had any questions and if this was my first critical patient. I told her it was my first day and she immediately welcomed me. As I watched in awe, Sophia made sure to explain what was happening every step of the way. Sophia not only goes out of her way to ensure her coworkers are okay, but also her patients. She is continuously present and frequently checks in on each patient’s room to make sure they don't need anything. As someone who hopes to go into healthcare one day, and possibly become a nurse, I look up to Sophia. I take note of Sophia's patient care so one day I can become as good of a provider.
