She was such a wonderful and lighthearted nurse and cared for not only our daughter but my husband and I as well!
After a difficult month of being in and out of the hospital with our daughter, between surgery and chemotherapy, we had to come back to HemOnc for an additional round of chemo/immunotherapy. This was not the news we had hoped for and it made my husband and I extremely anxious and nervous. We knew the new round of meds were going to be tough and we had already had a tough month and mentally were not ready for another rough round. Although we were not ready for the admission and chemo/immunotherapy we were so graciously blessed with getting Suzannah Martin as our day’ shift nurse on the first day of the immunotherapy medication. The setup and administration of the med alone was a daunting task, yet she never made it seem overwhelming at all. She was such a wonderful and lighthearted nurse and cared for not only our daughter but my husband and I as well! She made sure we understood what was being started and made sure we knew our options. She really eased our anxiety even when my daughter did not have the most desirable initial reaction to the medication. My husband and I seriously could not have asked for a bigger blessing this time around and are so thankful to have nurses like Suzannah!
