My twins were born at 26 weeks and spent a little over three months in the NICU. From the moment I met Britney, I knew how much she loved her job and her NICU babies. The NICU journey is not an easy one for parents. Not only did Britney care for my babies during the fight for lives, she cared for me and my husband. I firmly believe, as a first-time mom, that I would not have survived mentally or emotionally if it were not for the care, compassion, and love that Britney showed me every single day she worked and took care of my twins. There were many days she'd sit with me and let me cry. Days where she'd spend extra time explaining medical terminology and treatment plans to me because I didn't understand any of it. Britney took it upon herself to go out of her way to ensure I was taken care of as exceptionally as my twins were, and for this, I am eternally grateful. Britney and I will be lifelong friends.
