Dayna was someone special in my care team the first moment I met her. I was in excruciating pain. I can't remember which one of us did it first, but the pulling of one-liners helped me. Her being clear as to how I can do certain things that will help my pain levels was such a benefit to me. Dayna was my advocate and my safe harbor. I could count on her to not only explain what was happening clearly and simply to me; I could also count on her to make sure I got the sleep I needed.

What truly has made the most impact on me is how she's helping me heal and maintain a good mental attitude through our common cheeky humor. She has brought me from tears regarding my ostomy future to laughter. I may not have all the right words to explain how special an RN Dayna is, but it is my privilege to try. Extraordinary is where Dayna starts her day with her patients.
