Ivy Chatto has been an RN for 15 years on the 1South unit. Every time Ivy works, there is not a day that goes by that she doesn’t receive recognition from her patients. She provides an empathetic ear and compassionate hand to every single member. She always puts her patients first, no matter how grueling her day. Her patients often tell me she “listens, is detailed/ informative, advocates and does what she says she will do”. She frequently turns members' care experience from being ok to being excellent, all because she was their nurse whom they had a positive interaction with. Ivy is also often recognized by her colleagues as well, for being an outstanding nurse whom they can always learn from and ask for help when in need. She is the true definition of team player, whether it’s helping answer call lights or being proactive and anticipating member’s needs, she always seems to go above and beyond. This is what one of her patients who initially had a bad experience had emailed me:

She does her job in a way that makes you feel important, and she takes time to take care of you while being effective and efficient. She does her job without making you feel like a job. Also, she has a really great personality and makes being sick not so bad.”
