Dear Annemarie Martone, thank you, thank you, thank you! Because you've opened my eyes to what is possible in life and that I can have joy and peace without the need of substances. You helped me learn that I can't change the people around me, but that I can change who is around me. No one will steal my peace or my joy. You helped me understand that I have a choice in how my life will go and that I don't have to go above and beyond for everyone around me. You made me feel validated and loved. You are a very loving person, and I hope you will continue being a great person and doing great work with people like me. Even though I'm 21 I felt like there was no hope for me. But you believed that I will get better and that I can achieve anything. I won't let depression win and this daily battle will be my victory day by day, moment by moment.
