I initially met John over the phone by calling the nurse station to check on the status of my husband. He was extremely kind and patient, answered all my concerns, and made sure that I understood what the instructions and direct orders were in my husband’s chart. Seeing John interacting and caring for my husband today was like seeing a highly skilled professional who really displayed him as consistent, knowledgeable, and holds the highest ethical standards. Most of all, I appreciate John for doing his job and having such a positive impact here with the TGH Nursing staff. Thank you, John, for caring and making sure that my patient was cared for and that every one of his needs were met in a timely manner.

As someone with a chronic illness, hospitals are stressful and a huge source of anxiety for me in tough times. John has gone out of his way to make sure that I am getting the attention and care needed to help me feel as comfortable as possible. He has listened with compassion and has played a 100% role in my recovery journey. Specifically, he is making sure that my pain and anxiety are effectively managed. Always checks on how I am feeling and makes sure that I have adequate time to sleep (this is huge for me). He has continued to go above and beyond, and I am so happy that he has been my nurse throughout this stay. He is a strong advocate for me, and I feel blessed. Being in hospitals so frequently, your nurse can make an enormous difference, and John has been nothing but the best. I want to recognize him for all his compassion, hard work, and amazing advocacy.
