I came into Labor and Delivery for a scheduled induction where Kelly was my nurse. This was my fourth pregnancy and delivery but my first time being induced. During this pregnancy, I was a gestational carrier, so it was me, my husband, and the two intended parents during our induction. 

Kelly knew that I was nervous to be induced, but she immediately put me at ease and created an environment that I felt completely comfortable in. She always included the intended parents in the plan of care and explained everything to make sure they were well-informed. She went above and beyond in making sure they were included and helped them be a part of the entire day of their daughter's birth.

Kelly's professional bedside manner made sure everyone's needs were met. She always checked in with my support persons and me before leaving the room.

Kelly realized the importance of allowing the intended mother to have the opportunity to cut the cord and hold her daughter first. Going above and beyond, Kelly worked with the midwife to ensure that the intended mother not only cut the cord but also assisted in delivering her daughter.

Not only did we receive excellent clinical care, but also unbelievable human compassion and kindness. I witnessed a true miracle when I watched the parents finally meet their precious daughter. It was by far one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences of my life, and the care we received only made it better. I'm eternally grateful to Kelly for making the whole day more perfect than I could ever have imagined.
