Adrienne is not shy about helping to establish new workflows to improve communication and patient experience.
Adrienne is a phenomenal RN Care Coordinator and embodies the Advocate Health Behaviors of Excellence. Adrienne Exhibits Courage as she participates in EXCEL, which has provided benefits to the clinic. She attended the ONS Congress, from which she brought back a number of process improvement imitative ideas and disseminated learnings to the nursing team. She is not shy about helping to establish new workflows to improve communication and patient experience. She helps to foster resilience by regularly contributing to the KUDOS KRA and recognizing and elevating the contributions of others on her team.

She Values Differences through her contributions to training others on Breast Cancer Care specifics and helping to onboard a new RN Care Coordinator this past spring. Adrienne Communicates Effectively through a thorough handoff to other departments and a comprehensive chart prep (where many errors are caught and corrected). Where she shines the most is through the many ways in which she Ensures Accountability. She regularly follows up on and escalates gaps in internal workflows and inter- and intra-departmental workflows. This attention to detail and "preoccupation with failure" help improve safe patient care.

Where our processes may have delayed patient care or delivery of specialty medication, Adrienne has stopped at nothing to support her patients. She has provided the bridge to fill a gap in the process. This, at times, has been accomplished by creative strategies and out-of-the-box thinking/approaches to accomplishing a goal. As an example, a letter she wrote during her time off highlighted a patient's experience and made visible the numerous challenges our teams and patients face with some structures and processes that we have in place. This effectively caught the attention of senior VPs within the organization and is changing the dynamic of how our departments work together. Her passion for her patients and her work sets a positive tone for oncology care and serves as a reminder of the power of the nursing voice.
