I admired his compassionate and angelic nature amidst the crowded environment in the emergency department.
We entered the emergency department with my nephew, who is 25 years old. He was being treated for a severe headache and neck pain. The emergency room was crowded. Nurse Mokhtar received us with a kind smile and a warm welcome. He helped the patient lie down on the bed, measured his blood pressure and checked his vital signs and asked about his medical history. Then, he asked me to step outside to discuss some private questions. I appreciated his consideration for the patient's privacy, and when he finished, he asked me to stay with my nephew.
Despite the busy emergency department, Nurse Mokhtar was dedicated to providing excellent service and care. He moved from one patient to another, reviewing lab results, communicating with doctors and other departments, and offering assistance, such as providing a chair for me as a watcher and bringing water. When we were on our way to the X-ray room, he accompanied us and took care of the patient with compassion. He reassured him that everything would be fine and that he would be waiting for him when he returned from the X-ray.
Upon the patient's return, Nurse Mokhtar welcomed us again, making us feel safe and cared for, as if he were a member of our family. I admired his compassionate and angelic nature amidst the crowded environment in the emergency department. He went above and beyond to provide not only medical care but also counseling and psychological support to both the patient and our family.
