She made sure the patient was taken care of and didn't fall through the cracks.
Kerri Dawidczyk recovered a patient recently that was s/p an l&D of hand and a skin graft with a wound vac placed. The patient was extremely tearful and unsure of the plan of care post-op. Kerri took care of this patient for most of her shift reassuring her that all would be okay. Kerri called the wound vac company to have a new wound vac delivered to the patient's home. She stayed two hours after her shift was over to make sure that one would be delivered the next day to her home. She let the patient take our machine home so there wouldn't be a delay in her care. The next day Kerri called the patient to make sure everything went well overnight and that her new machine arrived- which it did and ours was returned back to the hospital. Kerri saw this case through from the beginning to the end. She made sure the patient was taken care of and didn't fall through the cracks.

Kerri is such a warm and comforting person for a patient having surgery. Nothing was a bother and she was so professional as well as personable and did her job so efficiently while making me feel cared for through my whole experience. Kerri answered all my requests without batting an eyelid. No matter how small the requests, she provided it to me in such a genuine manner, and was mindful not to jar my operated foot as it was a little painful after surgery. She made sure l was comfortable and attended to my needs so kindly. I have had many surgeries at your hospital but Kerri stood out as she was patient, empathetic, as well as kind throughout the whole process, from educating me on what I needed to do once home, to providing extra pillows to make me more comfortable and making my needs her top priority while I was there. She stands out as she made me so comfortable through the whole process of recovery. She also brought me to my vehicle to make sure I was all set for my travel home. Kerri is an exceptional nurse as she made me feel she genuinely cared about my post operative surgery care and made sure all my needs were met! She gives wonderful patient care to all her patients.
