My daughter was admitted to this unit. She went through multiple attempts at putting in IVs, hours of crying, being covered in vomit and more during that shift. Savannah Childress never asked for vitals when my daughter was sleeping and was kind and compassionate to me and my daughter. Savannah brought in toys and books for my daughter when she was getting a little restless without asking. I have a 1-month-old at home, so I was pumping for her at the hospital and Savannah took my breastmilk, put it in the fridge, and brought me extra towels and soap for my pumping supplies. There were multiple times that Savannah came in to help me clean up vomit off myself and my daughter and she never blinked, she kept encouraging me that everything was going to be okay. Savannah brought extra clothes for me to wear and took my clothes to be laundered. Savannah truly made a hard experience as a mother much better and should be recognized as a wonderful nurse at BSA.
