From the moment Sky walked into our room, I knew my daughter, M, was in good hands. We were supposed to go home on the first day Sky became her nurse. Things didn't go as planned with M's health. That weekend, Sky was a huge advocate for M. M's health and took a turn in the wrong direction, and Sky was right there beside us, leading us in that direction for three consecutive days.

When I, as a mother, felt like the residents and fellows were not listening to me, she called the Fellow into the room. Sky, myself, and the fellow had a lengthy conversation about M's deteriorating status. I tried communicating with the fellow, but she did not hear anything I had to say. Sky immediately jumped in and confirmed to the fellow that I truly had concerns, and she also expressed her concerns. If it had not been for Sky, my concerns would have been swept under the rug, and the medical team would have moved on with their day. Sky, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
