Kathy had a couple who delivered the night before and had a 6-year-old son who is nonverbal and autistic. She had heard during the day he came in and was very excited, not about his new sister, but about her soft baby blanket that he kept taking away from the baby. Hearing this story, Kathy made a blanket overnight for the new big brother so he would be included in having something new. When she gave it to the parents, they said he loves blankets and was thrilled!
