Tammi has had a long and distinguished career as a Nurse Practitioner at St Joseph’s Hospital. Tammi is a leader on the CV Care unit and as part of the CV team. She makes it a point to educate her peers and the nurses on the unit. Tammi makes sure caregivers are appropriately educated to ensure patients receive the best care possible. Patients and caregivers alike value Tammi's presence and she is the glue and bridge between the office and hospital teams.  

Tammi also has served on the APP committee and is looked up to by her peers.  She has published articles in several Nursing Journals throughout her years as an NP, and her work is very much valued due to the success of the Cardiac Surgery program here at St. Joseph Hospital.  Tammi was also an integral part of St. Joe's receiving the STS 3 Star achievement for Cardiac Surgery. 

Tammi is one of the best NPs we have worked with.  She is incredibly detail-oriented and takes great pride in our Open-Heart Surgery patients and their outcomes.  She goes above and beyond to make sure the nurses, surgeons, and patients feel supported and cared for.  When Tammi would leave for vacation, we were always anxiously awaiting her return, and now that she is retiring, we are more anxious than ever!  We have had a lot of changes with our Open-Heart Surgery program over the past 20 years, but Tammi has remained a constant and guides us all to be our best. She holds us to a high standard and pushes us to be better nurses. We have been very blessed to have her, and we are going to miss her dearly.

We all feel that it has been an honor and a privilege to work alongside Tammi on CV and she is very deserving of this award.
