Kaitlyn Carr is one of the BEST nurses I have ever had in the last 25 years that I have been in and out of hospitals. She is so caring and hospitable to both me and my fiancé. Anything we needed or asked for and more, she was there in a heartbeat (no pun intended). Kaitlyn always kept us laughing and in great spirits every time she entered the room. She gave the most compassionate care and truly is a healer who made me feel better. I felt safe and cared for. Kaitlyn is a prime example for other nurses to look up to daily. If I could, I would give her a raise because she works so hard and is there for her patients. You are the finest and MVH should be proud to have you on their team!!!

When I was admitted to the eighth floor, I was immediately greeted by Kaitlyn. She was so welcoming and friendly which eased my anxieties and made sure I was comfortable and aware of what was going to happen during my four days stay. During the three days that Kaitlyn was my nurse, she took excellent care of me; and I even tried to talk her into working a fourth 12-hour shift so she could be there when I was discharged. Her skills at reading the heart monitor and explaining in layperson terms what my heart was doing were amazing. I was in atrial fibrillation most of the time which scared me, but Kaitlyn was always so reassuring that everything was going to be okay. During the first two days, Kaitlyn was the team leader and even though she had many other duties, she was quick to tend to my needs and I felt at peace knowing that my health was in her hands. Before she left every evening, she made sure that the nurse coming on for the night shift was aware of what was going on with me which again gave me so much reassurance. Kaitlyn is very professional and enthusiastic about her job as a nurse and beyond her years in her medical knowledge. She has a profound sense of humor that she interjects while giving care that makes her patient’s lives a little brighter. She is a special person with a gift and in my opinion, one that every nurse should have as a teacher. Kaitlyn is a great asset to Premier Health and Miami Valley Hospital, we are fortunate to have her.
