Numerous stories have been submitted regarding Karin. Karin always goes above and beyond for our patients. She always helps out the other nurses and patients even when she is not asked. She always has a smile on her face. Today, Karin came in on her day off and brought in a blanket for a patient. The patient often refuses treatment and states, "I just want my blue blanket." Karin had told her, "If you eat, I will buy you a new one," and she did. Karin drives a long distance to work at our hospital and takes the time on her days off to show love to this patient. This patient, who rarely smiles, smiled so big and thanked her for making her feel so loved and not forgotten. This is just one of the many times she has done this type of caring gesture for patients here at the hospital. I think we could all be more like Karin each and every day!
