We had a patient come into the AIC for her scheduled appointment... The patient was noticeably upset. After talking to the patient, Martina found out the patient was struggling at home and was having a hard time buying groceries and would not be able to buy gifts for her children. Martina took it upon herself to purchase some gifts for the patients' children and a gift card so the patient would be able to purchase some groceries for her home. The patient wrote Martina a beautiful thank you note, which is shared below.

"Thank you for everything that you did for us. There are no words to express how thankful we are for you, your family, and the staff. You don't know how badly we needed this blessing. You all really lifted a big weight off our shoulders. The kids' faces were priceless when they walked in after school and saw all of the presents under the tree. They were shocked and so surprised they cried. They were so happy to see all the presents, and the fridge and pantry were full of food. I sat them down and told them how blessed we were with the gift card. You guys didn't have to do all of this for us, but we really appreciate all of you, especially you. Please tell everyone that we said thank you. I cried so much when I left (happy tears) because I was not expecting all of this. I told anyone who would listen about how amazing you and the staff are and about the amazing blessing that we received. Thank you for everything."
