From the moment Lissette walked in, our spirits lifted. She is the most kind and thorough professional we have come in contact with during our stay here. She is usually an ICU Nurse, but we just got lucky enough that she picked up a shift on the 4th floor and got to take care of my grandmother. She double-checked all of her information with me, and she even found something the day shift overlooked. She paged the doctor and got her the correct medication without us even knowing anything was wrong. She has been so encouraging, and I am so confident in her care of my grandmother. She adjusted all of her cords and made sure her heart monitor stickers were in the right place. She did a full body assessment and covered ALL of the areas that should be addressed. My grandmother had been getting a catheter put in multiple times throughout the day, and Lissette decided we should try to get her on the toilet. After getting her on the toilet and not peeing immediately, Lissette started trying little tactics to make her go to the bathroom. She turned on the sink, offered her water, and gave her water to touch to try to help. With her determination, my grandmother was about to go to the bathroom without requiring another catheter! I cannot say enough good things about Lissette, and I will be forever grateful for the night that she cared for my grandmother.
