Elizabeth "Betsy" Matthew is very professional. She has a lot of patience and communicates with physicians for the best patient care possible and closes the loops. Good to have nurses like this at SJS.

Everyone at St John’s is outstanding, however, Betsy went above and beyond for us during our stay. We were receiving conflicting information on discharge. I am 66 and was going to be driving the patient home. I really can’t drive after dark and the weather was getting bad. Betsy called numerous times to everyone involved in his discharge, including having an echocardiogram read, plus 2 different doctors to sign off and send discharge orders and a tech to give him a heart monitor. She did this while caring for and discharging other patients. She was amazing and got everything and everyone on board to get us out of there by 5pm so that I could make the 1 hour drive home before dark. And she did it with grace and a beautiful attitude. I was very grateful for her diligence. She truly went above and beyond any expectations.
