It's hard to put Into words how much Hunter Willis went above and beyond for our daughter and our family. From the moment our daughter met Hunter, she opened up. This was important since she was refusing to talk to any other doctor or nurse prior to meeting Hunter.

Hunter advocated for our daughter in a way no one else would. For a year we were left wondering what was wrong. If it had not been for Hunter's persistence and advocacy, I'm not sure our daughter would even be here. She rallied her team and superiors to try and figure out the mystery and pushed for more testing. Because of her advocacy, we remained at Children's National to get additional testing to try to find answers. It was during this extended period that my daughter flatlined and we were able to get some answers. Throughout our stay Hunter popped in to say hi to my daughter, which meant a lot since my daughter kept seeing so many new faces with the teams of people working together to find answers. It helped make things less scary seeing a familiar face. Hunter went above and beyond any nurse I've met. Her demeanor towards children is fabulous. We'd choose her over any nurse to care for our little ones, if we were able. She deserves so much recognition and praise. We'll never be able to thank her enough.
