I am writing this on behalf of my mother, who was in the hospital for 3 weeks with Pneumonia. She was transferred from the 4th floor to CVICU so they could administer a special medicine to break up the clots that were blocking the fluid from draining around her lung. All the nurses in CVICU were exceptional, but one, Sarah Branco, made a special connection with my mom. My mom is 95 and was feeling down mentally and physically after being in the hospital so long. Sarah went above and beyond not only with her professionalism but with her compassion and care that my mom had a complete turn around and was discharged to rehab. She not only took care of her physically, but helped her mentally, which is overlooked by a lot of doctors and nurses, but not Sarah.
